Access to quality healthcare is one of the greatest challenges facing Georgia today. Across the state, residents in rural and other medically underserved communities struggle to find primary care providers. Mercer's School of Medicine is committed to addressing that need. In fact, it's our mission. Student debt plays a big role in creating the problem. Graduating with substantial loans, many students seek positions in urban settings, where lucrative career opportunities may be accompanied by offers to relieve those loans. In rural areas, such opportunities are rare, so Mercer is partnering with the state of Georgia to offer a solution.

$105M Goal

The ASPIRE Campaign will dedicate $105 million to the School of Medicine's endowment, scholarship & technology fund, offering scholarships to medical students who are committed to providing primary care in communities where the need is greatest.
